Back to sharing

It has been so long since I did not write a single word. For those that are not aware, a little summary of the last few months. I flew out of St Louis to Morocco on the 2nd of October… me and Jack on the same day, him towards England for the start of an incredible backpacking trip and me back home. I had completely forgotten about Ramadan when I booked my ticket, I got there on the third with Ramadan starting the 5th – bad timing when you know that during this particular month, night life activities are relatively limited.
In Rabat I saw Sarah again, it was great to talk about the old days and see that she was doing great… Good luck for school Sarah
10 days latter, I have to fly to my new destination – Geneva
At the airport, Aiesecer’s where there to pick me up, what a change not trainees doing this any more :) I already knew I don’t have an apartment yet, they reserved one for me, but it would only be available in 2 week. They told me I had to stay with one of the Aiesecer’s grandmother- Ouch… Well guess what it was a great, on of the best ‘roommate’ I ever had. Do not start thinking I liked it because she cooked for me, she is not the kind. We had a lot to share and to discuss, I tried not to be a burden and she made me feel at home – Thank you.
After a while Jack and Emily visited me in Geneva for a total of 5 hours. I had no apt yet, the lady was nice but it was kind of hard to tell her well 4 friends are stopping by tonight. It was great to see them again we wandered around the city, got wet under the Jet D’eau, Emily invited us for the most expensive Mc Donald she ever paid, and of course I ask them to summarize there long trip around Europe. I’m definitely going for it this year (backpacking around East Europe).
In terms of work, it was pretty boring at the beginning - don’t get me wrong it was not like GSC- but its getting better, the tasks are more challenging and I’m actually learning something. Let’s see where it while lead.
Last week Emir visited me in Geneva. I can not believe it took us so long to see each other. He was supposed to be here for the whole week end but he only showed up on Sunday. I picked him up from the train station wish is literally 3 blocs away, wandered around the city – Sundays in Switzerland you can die before you find a shop open – stopped at Starbucks to have a coffee and enjoy the heater. Latter on, Kim joined us; so we talk about GSC, recalled some memories, gossiped a bit and went for dinner.
Around 19:30, Emir had to catch the train so we headed to the station where we said goodbye. I’m expecting to see him again on New Years Eve which we will spend in Zurich.
Well this is a brief summary of my life in Geneva. I will try to keep posting.
